Marco Di Giovanni's first solo exhibitions are held in alternative spaces such as the Unsicht Keller in Berlin in 1999 and the Zero Media Zanchetta Archive in Bologna in 2001. His first research focuses on recycled materials, pipes and cisterns, which they are reassembled and brought back to life by inserting lenses that allow them to see what happens - or what is stored - inside them, like real people in performance. Of frequent protagonist of actions during the presentation of his works, Di Giovanni plays with irony on the mechanisms of vision and, at the same time, organizes sculptural structures with a strong visual impact, in an uninterrupted exchange between the persistence and the mutability of materials and shapes. , always designed and installed in close relationship with the exhibition space. In 2011 he created the project entitled NORD, developing it in three solo exhibitions in two galleries and at the Unicredit Kunstraum in Munich. He exhibited in group exhibitions at Casa Testori, at the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow, at the Marta Museum in Herford, at the Museion in Bolzano, at the Mambo in Bologna, at VIII Contemporary Istanbul and is among the fifteen artists selected for the sixth edition of the Prize VAF Foundation.

Last year he presented the project "L'Infinito Edible" in three solo shows at the San Domenico Museum in Imola and in two private galleries. In January 2017, in collaboration with MAMbo, he will participate in the Art City exhibition of ArteFiera with a solo show at the International Museum of Music in Bologna.
